This is a big reflexology get together. We love being in the vibe of other reflexologists and at the last conference we went to, we said we wished the breaks were longer so we could chat more and network. Well, born from that idea is this. The Reflexology Rhythm Exchange. This is taking place at a beautiful Art Deco style building – The Grand, known locally for its cocktails and piano bar. You will arrive at 5pm where you can order drinks at the cash bar, then ascend the stairs to the Princess Suite. Get a place at a table and for the first hour we will have questions and answers at your tables. This is your opportunity to ask questions about your clients, your practice, your reflexology from other like-minded therapists. The amount of experience in the room will be huge and because we’ve split you into small groups you should be able to ask and share easily. Once the hour is up, we will have a three course meal where we can continue our conversations more informally. After the meal, it’s time for the rhythm part of the evening. We will have a live band do two sets and a DJ play music for us to dance to.
There will be reflexology books for sale and a raffle to go towards the Hart Centre in Southport.
There is a car park behind The Grand but you have to pay. If you don’t mind a walk, you can find on street parking after the roundabout on Lord St.
We are hoping that because this is a seaside town, that you will want to spend the weekend to enjoy a mini-break. There are plenty of hotels and B and Bs nearby ranging from £70 to £150 per night and the nearest is The Bold opposite. At the other end of Southport there is a travelodge too so something to fit every budget. If you do decide to stay over, then we encourage you to find someone else at the Reflexology and Rhythm Exchange to meet up with and do a treatment swap the next day. What better way to pamper yourselves? There are plenty of great places to eat such as The Royal Himalayas for nepalese food, The Korean Kitchen, Volares for Italian. For live music during your stay, you can see the facebook page “Southport Live Music” and there is always a live singer outdoors at The Marine Cafe, under the pier.
